Sayonara Press Release

Wave Sayonara took the running world by storm last year, winning best debut in Runner’s World Germany and USA A lightweight, neutral shoe that offers comfort and protection with no compromise on performance – it’s no surprise that the shoe’s the choice of the competitive runner. It’s a winner if you’re after a light training shoe with a dynamic ride, great cushioning and a little bit of support and stability. It’s light enough to be a race day choice, but cushioned so you can make it your high mileage neutral shoe. Mizuno call this “Everyday fast”

If it aint broke …. don’t fix it … With very little to change Mizuno have updated Wave Sayonora 2 with tweaks rather than a transformation. The second model is more breathable, with the mesh opened a little, and there’s an improved mid-foot and forefoot fit with a softer eye row – as well as a great new range of colours and a slight change to the design of the overlays.

Mizuno’s Parallel Wave® Plate in the heel is symmetrical on both sides making it the choice for neutral runners. Wave Plate technology gives impact protection and a smooth ride by dissipating impact forces away from the foot, offering a cushioned feel on every step. The midsole geometry offers a little extra support on longer runs.

The Wave Sayonara continues to provide mile after mile of good running, with the U4iC saving 30 per cent compared to previous Mizuno shoes and offering up a fantastic cushioning to weight ratio. There’s a wide forefoot and a ramp of 1 Omm. And the G3 Outsole gives great grip and traction, creating a pure connection to the ground.

  • New upper offering an improved fit.
  • Softer, more flexible upper materials allowing a more dynamic fit.
  • Improved breathability.
  • Three new colourways for both and men.
