HAYATE PRESS RELEASE

THE TRAIL RACER’S CHOICE

DYNAMIC AND LIGHTWEIGHT

CLOSE TO THE GROUND FEEL

The ultimate shoe for the trail racer, and the name, which translates as, “Fast As Wind- Light As Air” says it all. This lighter, more dynamic shoe is perfect for the trail runner who likes a little more ‘feel’ for the terrain – the more competitive runner who wants a light trail shoe with a dynamic ride.

This lightweight trail racing shoe delivers an unprecedented ride through the combination of the U4iC midsole and Mizuno’s XtaticRide technology. And a lower offset, with a ramp of 6-1 Smm means you’re never far from the trail offering a responsive ride in touch with the terrain beneath your feet.

Wave Hayate is perfectly adapted to trail running, XtaticRide delivers excellent, versatile grip, great cushioning and adaptability of the sole on uneven surfaces – making it easier to keep your speed downhill and harmonize the body with the ground.

The Harrier, a predecessor had a deep lugged and aggressive sole. This dynamic new model features thinner, lighter X Studs, well spaced out for better grip. And being spaced out means there is less rubber – and therefore less weight.

The aged and distressed faded brights are designed with retro Kanji trends in mind.

Features:

  • XtaticRide trail specific
  • Concave wave protection with flexibility
  • X Groove allows for movement, and adaptation to the trail
  • X lug more aggressive for superb grip
  • Lower offset better feel of the trail
  • U4iC midsole great cushioning at a lighter weight
  • Light and flexible, yet with adequate protection
